Myrtle Poirier (n\u00e9e O\u2019Brien)<\/p>\n
C\u2019est avec une grande tristesse que vous nous annon\u00e7ons le d\u00e9c\u00e8s de Myrtle Poirier (n\u00e9e O\u2019Brien).<\/p>\n
Elle nous a quitt\u00e9 le 17 octobre 2025 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de 85 ans. \u00c9pouse d\u00e9vou\u00e9e de Clarence Poirier, elle laisse dans en deuil ses filles ch\u00e9ries Clare (Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Brisson) et Nancy (Richard Moreau) et son fils feu Peter, ainsi que ses pr\u00e9cieux petits-enfants Evelyn et Philippe Moreau qui ont illumin\u00e9 sa vie de leur affection.<\/p>\n
Myrtle laisse \u00e9galement dans le deuil sa s\u0153ur Edna O\u2019Brien (Charles Langlois). Elle a rejoint son fr\u00e8re Albert O\u2019Brien (Jeanine Boudreault) et ses s\u0153urs Norma (Jack Booth) et Nora (Gerald Sigouin) qui nous ont quitt\u00e9s pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment.<\/p>\n
Ses filleuls, de nombreuses ni\u00e8ces et neveux, plusieurs amis(e), ancien(ne)s coll\u00e8gues de travail et b\u00e9n\u00e9volat, garderont un souvenir d\u2019une femme d\u2019une grande gentillesse, g\u00e9n\u00e9reuse, rayonnante, rassembleuse ainsi qu\u2019une grande cuisini\u00e8re et excellente sportive. <\/p>\n
La famille remercie sinc\u00e8rement le personnel soignant du CHSLD Dr Chevrier et Yolly pour leur attention et leur compassion.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Myrtle Poirier (n\u00e9e O\u2019Brien).<\/p>\n
She left us on October 17, 2025, at the age of 85. A devoted wife to Clarence Poirier, she leaves in mourning her beloved daughters Clare (Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Brisson) and Nancy (Richard Moreau), and her late son Peter, as well as her precious grandchildren Evelyn and Philippe Moreau, who brought endless joy and pride.<\/p>\n
Myrtle is also survived by her sister Edna O\u2019Brien (Charles Langlois). She has now joined her brother Albert O\u2019Brien (Jeanine Boudreault) and her sisters Norma (Jack Booth) and Nora (Gerald Sigouin), who have left us as well.<\/p>\n
Her godchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, many friends, and former work and volunteer colleagues will cherish the memory of a very kind, generous, radiant and unifying woman as well as a wonderful cook and accomplished athlete.<\/p>\n
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, October 24, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Maison Mallet et Fils, and again on Saturday, October 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., before the funeral service to be held at Saint C\u0153ur de Marie Church, 175 rue de l\u2019\u00c9glise, Clarke City. A prayer will be said at the Sept-\u00celes Cemetery.<\/p>\n
The family sincerely thanks the staff of CHSLD Dr. Chevrier and Yolly for their attention and compassion. Donations can be made to the Centre Quatre Poches in her memory. https:\/\/www.4poches.org\/financement-campagne-4-pochesDetails regarding a memorial ceremony in Montreal will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n
